Matty from MattyCollector.com and ToyGuru. sent us the answers to our latest round of questions that AFi readers have posted in our forums.        

Q1. Now that we’ve seen the perch for Screeech that’s packed with Evil-Lyn, any chance of getting a bundle of those for us to use with the already released Jayna, Beast Boy and Zoar?

A1. We do have plans for more perches for the MOTUC line, which, of course, would work fine for the birds also packed in with a few DCU figures but no plans to release a bundle of perches. Good suggestion though!

Q2. For the Retro Action line… Are female characters being considered? Will there be a SDCC exclusive for this line? Is Captain Marvel a possibility? I know he sometimes has licensing issues…

A2. Okay, now you’re cheating with the number of questions! We do have females planned, and we’ll be announcing SDCC exclusives in April(ish).  Yes, “Shazam!” (or Captain Marvel) is part of our overall DC license and could be included in this line.

Q3. Will you reissue the JLU Batman Beyond, Cheetah 3 pks in 2010 ALOT of us have never seen these in Targets. How about the matty collector 4 packs will they be reissued in general release?

A3. We won’t be re-releasing the exact Cheetah pack again but will look for a way to bring her back out in other ways. Some JLU inventory that was intended to ship in early 2009 has been shipped to discount stores to make room for newer SKUs at Target. The Cheetah case packs also included older packs like Fire and Ice and Target already had plenty of these packs in stock so there is still a good chance of finding the Cheetah pack at discount retails in 2010. Also, if you are in Southern California, the Mattel Store in El Segundo did have this pack in stock; at least it did January 15^th when we checked!

There are no plans to re-release any of the Mattycollector.com JLU four-packs. Many of these packs were available for several months and fans had more then enough time to purchase them.

Q4. RE: Mattycollector, A "LOW STOCK LEFT" notification would be nice on ANY items that are selling through. JLU 4-packs most especially!  Is this a service that can be provided from this point forward?

A4. We actually are looking into this and adding a ticking clock. Keep in mind that many of the JLU packs were available for several months so fans had a lot of time to act. Our best suggestion: when you see an item on MattyCollector.com that you want, pick it up quick!

Q5. I know there has been a lot of "concern" regarding the last few Matty collector 4 packs. You had stated you made less with each run up to the Doom Patrol. Will you follow this pattern with the Justice Guild 4 pack ? Or will you produce more than the Doom Patrol?

A5. The Justice Guild pack will be the lowest produced of all of the JLU four-packs. As stated above, the market has shown it can’t support JLU packs aimed at collectors online right now. We tried many different combinations , from in-show characters to expanded DC Universe-themed packs and not one pack hit the numbers we needed it to.
