Plan a Neighbourhood Game

What is a Neighbourhood Game?

Playing for Keeps Neighbourhood Games are locally organized, playful activities that bring people — neighbours, co-workers, friends and/or family — and yes, even strangers — together to share an experience, have fun, and play. For more information about Playing for Keeps, click here!

A Neighbourhood Game can be any kind of playful activity that is fun and enjoyable, age-neutral, and not about expert talent. The idea is to bring people out into their communities, to exercise their minds, hands, bodies, and hearts. Because communities that play together are healthier, more connected, more vital!

A Neighbourhood Game can involve sports, arts, music, or food — anything from basketball to hopscotch, from community gardening to grandmas and tot walks, from street dancing to mega glee clubs.

Events must be free of charge to attend and be free of alcohol, or any prohibited substances. If you are a P4K Volunteer Ambassador, your Grant will be administered by your P4K Hub. If you haven't yet gone through the training and are not a P4K Volunteer Ambassador, your Grant will be administered by any Hub that is closest to you or that you choose.
