North Carolina Class B Non-CDL

What is the procedure to obtain a non-CDL class B license in North Carolina? I bought a new DP with wt greater than 26,000 lbs.Do I have to take a driving test or is it only written?I can find nothing about it on the DNV sites.

Battery DIsconnect ??

Just wondering if it's a good idea(or recommended) to flip our battery disconnect switches when at a RV Park for a long stretch(3 months). Shore power is connected to 50amp...Any reason not to disconnect? THANKS
