The serenely beautiful Tre-Ysgawen Hall was originally built as one of the country’s grand mansions in 1882. Now a hotel with a much vaunted and well deserved reputation it is now considered to be one of the finest country house hotels in Wales.
The hotel has been awarded the Visit Wales Gold Award every year since 2010.
Located on the Isle of Anglesey off the North West Corner of Wales this wonderful island has it all. Tre-Ysgawen Hall Country House Hotel was built in 1882 as a country mansion house and family home, owned by the Pritchard-Rayner family. The family moved in exalted circles, not just in Britain but also in Europe. Family members took part in the Anglesey Hunt from 1895 and on into the twentieth century. Post hunt dinners and balls were often held at Tre-Ysgawen Hall.

Lovely setting, very accommodating. I was late off ferry and the hotel was over helpful to ensure I got the room to get sleep. Lovely room warm and clean. The showers lovely and hot. The breakfast staff are very friendly and welcoming. Chefs food was excellent and very nice presentation. I’d highly recommend this hotel.

Perfect for a one-night escape. The bed was comfy, breakfast and dinner were tasty, the spa was lush. Everything was reasonably priced and we were very well looked after by the staff. I especially enjoyed the decent-sized pool as I'm not much into the 'sit and sweat' spa facilities but find it more relaxing to swim lengths. It looked like the gym was good too (although that's also not my thing). We spent a bit of time exploring the Anglesey coast before and after our time at Tre-Ysgawen Hall, and overall it was an amazing weekend. It was our first time in Anglesey, but it won't be our last!
