Aion Guide and Site Reviews

With an abundance of Aion guide and information available on the Internet, how would you know which are the reliable Aion guides and sources?

As a dedicated Aion gamer myself, I have gone through a lot of Aion references. Here are some of my findings. Mind though that the Aion guide and site reviews below are my personal opinion.

AionSource.com
Just like the website name states, this is one Aion source you do not want to go without. AionSource.com is an Aion community site which offers not only up to date Aion news, forums for members to discuss in-game issues but you'll also find that alot of their post are infact Aion guides with useful information.

Aion.Wikia.com
If you're a wiki-type person, this is the best Aion wiki there is out there. Again, you'll find that the depth of information provided about Aion in the wiki pages renders it to work incredibly well as a real-time Aion guide. Which always gets updated with the latest changes in Aion.

AionGuide.org
AionGuide.org looks like it started out as a personal Aion blog. However the extend of information provided about Aion is great for anyone new to Aion or within the first few levels. The simple language used (without complicated jargons) and links to other recomended Aion sites that featured on AionGuide.org makes the site another good place for Aion content.

KillerGuides.com
This online guide shop is not a new face in the MMORPG community and they now also feature a full set of Aion guides. Like with all their other guides, the Aion guides are offered with free updates and focuses mainly on strategies, walkthroughs and insider recommendations.

LotmmorpgAion.com
The Aion Guide section of this site include guides for all the available classes. For introductory class guides to help you decide which to choose from or to get more information what you may be up against, the class guides available at lotrmmorpg.com are definitely useful. They also have an introductory guide to Aion which again is a good reference for supplementary information.

Aion - The Story

Aion, the newly released MMORPG in US and EU developed by NC Soft has gained a very large fan base. Since Aion's launch in Asia with a large boom, Aion continues to keep players excited. This goes for Aion fans in the west as well.

Here's a short introduction to Aion: The Tower of Eternity. Many of you probably already know the storyline behind Aion and the epic clash between the two faction. But here goes:

The world of Aion was once peaceful and inhabited by humans and overlooked by a different faction, initially bestowed to look after the world, Atreia. This Aion faction, later known as the Balaurs got power thristy and misused their powers to gain control of the world.

In attempts to keep the Balaur at bay, guardians appeared to protect the people of Atreia from the Balaurs. A conflict occured between the guardians as to how to deal with the Balaurs. At that moment, the tower, the life source and energy of Aion broke. The guardians split in two and guided so called deavas (humans with special abilities to manipulate ether) to different sides of the tower in attempts to hold it together.

The tower nevertheless broke and so did friendship and kinship. Guardians, humans, deavas at the upper end of the tower got blocked in when the tower collapse, finding themselves in forever darkness. Guardians, humans, deavas at the other end were blessed to be forever in the light.

So came the two Aion factions, Elyos and Asmodians. Over time, a portal appeared, presenting a medium to travel between the two broken parts of Atreia and thus the never-ending war between the two factions and their long time enemy, the Balaurs.
