About the Club

This site is no longer active as the club uses Facebook to keep in touch with its members, please use the link to find out more. There is another club website but the Facebook page contains the most current information and details.

Witney Mountain Bike Club is your local cycling club in West Oxfordshire area, catering for cyclists who are interested in both leisure riding and racing mountain bikes, on-road and also track cycling though the main focus of the club rides is (as the name would suggest) off-road riding. We meet most weeks for a few hours of fun riding and occasionally travel further afield to Bracknell Forest, Cannock Chase and other trail centres. We also run British Cycling ‘Go-Ride’ skills training schemes for 4-14 year olds at local Oxfordshire schools.

The club runs a programme of rides and other coaching activities throughout the year. For our regular weekly rides the club meets at the Windrush pub in Witney. During much of the year, evening rides will require lights. Please note also that there are minimum age limits for some of our rides. See our calendar (or hover over the event you’re interested in on the list to the right) for notes about age, lights and other requirements on an event-by-event basis.

The club welcomes cyclists of all abilities and ages, and owns a limited number of bikes which newcomers can borrow if you wish to participate but have no bike.
