Funny how much you can regret saying just one little word.

 

When I said 'yes' to running 10K for the Brighton charity Amaze, who provide invaluable support to parents of children with special needs, I had no idea what I was saying.  10K is 6 miles in old money, 6 miles!

 

I hate exercise.  I resent having to walk to the car.  I'd rather wait for another bus than run for one.  I am not for running.

 

I'd like to say the weeks of training for this have been fun.  They haven't.  I've bitched and moaned all the way through, so this is more about my trainer's patience which has been far more charitable than my attitude...

 

So please donate some money to Amaze, safe in the knowledge that you won't ever have to sponsor me for anything to do with running again.  Ever.

PS It is quite good for keeping fit, and staying thin, and sleeping well and the men are very nice to watch as they pass you...
