LAST MINUTE PARTY at Times Sq., NYC
Hosted by my dear friend Jeff Marx and me!
Sometimes the funnest things in the world happen last minute. My invite to my friends gave only 12 hours notice, yet we had close to 300 people at the party!!
The most beautiful thing is when friends and friends meet :)
a work for One Hundred Years of Solitude

“The act of recording reduces the wholeness of experience. The signifiers contained in a record will eventually define the event recorded, effacing the complexity of the moment. In photographing an event, the event is reduced to the fraction of a second of exposure. Only one perspective of an infinitude, one instant, is represented.” (GGM)
I am interested in history as an inadequate form of record keeping. History, because of its inadequacy, is an exceptional official imaging tool.
I present a historic document in the form of a children’s book. I lay claim that my document not only appropriates historic record, but brings to light the appropriation and biases, and therefore better accomplishes its cause.
