We have 5 year old twins (B&G). Sensi Jason has program that is easy for the twins to understand and is a step by step process to teach them martial arts skills, responsibility and self control. He has a solid belt/badge system that encourages them to participate and achieve. We have been attending for 6 months and the twins enjoy going every time.

The place was clean.. we took my son for a trial class and I was not impressed. If he wasn't doing the move or stretch right the teacher didn't correct him half the time. A 2nd instructor came and had to help and it was only 3 boys in the class, if you let one do the move wrong 10 of the 15 reps they are doing I don't see how they will learn. They also told the kids this wasn't a place for smiling..? We found a better more friendly and fun class down the road that was also slightly cheaper.

We are California transplants and my 8 year old son took Karate at the Half Moon Bay USSD. I called the Sandy dojo and scheduled him for the Saturday following our move. In just three weeks he feels like he's a part of the dojo family.

The Senseis are all extremely friendly and love what they do. They help all kids learn through patience and discipline-both great to learn as a kid.

1 Yr in and my little girl (age 5) is all ready for anything life has to bring. Sensei's, Jason & Brandon are the best. Expect your kids to learn a LOT and not just 'goof off' for an hour. I had my 12yr son in that Korean place down the hill(cheaper but not nearly as structured) he quickly lost all interest in MA's. If you or your kids are truly committed to learning, it's pay more, get more.

I had my daughters uniform re-fitted for $24 at Family Alterations on State street. (She looks so Cute)

This place is great! My brother and I have been taking karate classes here, and we love them. The teachers are nice and actually know what they are teaching. It really showed when we competed at the Utah tournament.
USSD Sandy is also a nice place to meet new people, get some exercise, and is friendly to all ages.

All three of my kids go here. It has been about two years now. Their ages are five years old, 10 years old, and 14. These guys are great. They are especially good with kids. They remember everyone's names even the parents. I couldn't imagine a more professionally ran martial arts studio. They do a really good job at making the kids feel comfortable from the very start. They also teach the kids good values such as doing good in school, respecting your parents, and so on. I highly recommend Ussd in Sandy.

I work nights and my wife works days, our kids are kids so our schedule is as crazy as can be. With good prices and flexible schedule I have found somewhere for all of us to train and have fun. Sensei Mark is great with the whole family and tailors their training to meet their needs.
