Standing together to Defend potential

Our one-to-one mentoring relationships support the critical social and emotional development needed to help build resilience and promote the mental health and well-being of the youth we serve across the Ozarks. Now more than ever, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks is stepping up to find ways in serving our community to #KeepKidsConnected.

Our Mission

To create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.

Our Vision

Help all youth to achieve their full potential.

GET INVOLVED

Be a Big

For a few hours a week or month (depending on the program), you can give a Little the invaluable gift of your friendship. By simply changing his or her perspective of what the world can offer, you can literally start changing his or her life. And it’s as simple as playing video games, going to a museum, or just hanging out together.

Impact Partners

Through a personalized partnership we can engage your company and your employees to impact the youth in our community.

Attend an Event

Have a great time at any of our signature events where all the proceeds benefit youth in our community.

Give Financially

Your financial support helps us provide our programs to children in our community who need it the most and will help us develop more college grads, community leaders and entrepreneurs.

Donate Clothes

By simply cleaning out your closets and donating your gently used clothing and shoes, you will be supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters and the work that we do.

CREATING FRIENDSHIPS, CHANGING FUTURES.

Throughout 4 years Troy and I have bonded to grow a great friendship. Before meeting Troy, my life was rocky but he helped me through it all and still to this day he has helped me through many obstacles I've had to overcome as a young adult. He has taught me lessons, skills and how to overcome everyday challenges and I keep learning more every week!

From my perspective, having Elizabeth in Lilah’s life has been nothing but a blessing. Throughout the years she has continuously shown up for Lilah by attending track meets basketball games, and even her first jobs to encourage her. She also attended our court hearings after my daughter was the victim of a drive by shooting. They have built a bond that I know will continue for life. Elizabeth has been a positive role model Lilah and a person to confide in. I truly trust that Elizabeth’s example has shown Lilah where hard work and dedication can take you in life. I am forever grateful for their match.

I will do everything in my power to make sure that Junior reaches his full potential in this world. I try to stress to him that while he is incredibly gifted athletically he needs to focus on school too. He may be able to use his athletic ability to get into college, but he will need to continue to work hard in life because nothing will be given to him. Knowing that he wants more in life than just getting by feels great.

Deven has always been a pretty quiet kid, so I’m always trying to get him to open up and give me specifics about school, his extracurricular activities, home life, friends/girlfriend, etc. Over the past 4 years we have been matched, he has opened up quite a bit.

I don't know where I would be without having Kim as my Big Sister. My mom found the Big Brothers Big Sisters program after my dad passed away. She signed me and my brothers up because she thought that it would help us with grieving his death. When I got matched with Kim, it was a huge turning point in my life.

I believe that it was Tad’s influence on Nick that led him to set his life goals of entering the military, which he has already met by enlisting in the Army Reserves, and after that a career in law enforcement.
