Long time no see. Work has been busy, but I’ve still been making stuff. Threads became the place to talk at the void because I gave up on Twitter.
Now I’m working on a new portfolio and website (fixing my old one) and then once that’s done, I’ll pull content from Twitter and put it on my site so I can purge that account.
Website is pain, but fun to implement the new visual identity I worked on over the summer. Made a few GIFs for it and maybe I’ll make more. Tryna make sure whoever whoever wants to hire me knows I’m a lil’ weird.
Anyway, I’ll work on sharing what I’ve been up to and maybe I should move to having posts from IG get sent to here. idk. idk.
And speaking of Threads. Here’s a very important hotdog cat I drew on my phone in response to a Tumblr prompt.
There was some meme on Threads where you stick your bio into Midjourney, DALL•E, etc and post the results. It took generating over 40 images to get a few that were sort of close, so I drew something more accurate.
Contemplating making this more than just an art and illustration blog again and have it be more hobby and maybe life stuff too. So here’s me trying on my Halloween costume now that the last part arrived in the mail.
What am I? Me but dead hahah.

This will be a part of a series of portraits of people I knew just being themselves.
A special little something for a special big someone made on my smaller Line-O-Scribe. I didn’t have quite enough of the font to do the whole thing in one go, so I had to set type for one half, print that, and then print the other half. Worked out well enough!

Printed and trimmed the table mountain pine and mountain laurel illustrations and hung them up at home. :)
This table mountain pine illo is other part of the pair with the mountain laurel one.
I recolored those pinecones so many times until they looked right. This was so much harder than I thought it would be.
I made myself an 18 month calendar earlier this summer just because. I might sell this as a 12 month calendar later this year.

I wanted it to look like it was something I could have made with in litho with crayons and I think it came pretty close.
Botanical illustrations are hard. Foreshortening is hard. But I got it done hahah.
