Blanka setup in Street Fighter 6 now has players creating memes about how ridiculously difficult it is to deal with

Blanka's level 2 super art in Street Fighter 6, Lightning Beast, is an install super that effectively functions as a V-Trigger from Street Fighter 5. It's often said that this level 2 super art is one of the best supers in the game.

Recently, it was showcased how Blanka can actually reliable KO an opponent from just two openings, with the first cancelling into Lightning Beast. With the first opening, it's very easy to get the opponent into the corner with a Blanka-chan doll primed for a particularly nasty setup.

Kitana and Mileena might actually look better in Tekken 8 than they do in Mortal Kombat 1

Unafraid of allowing its player base to mess around with the appearance of the main roster members, Bandai Namco allows Tekken 8 players to alter and customize characters to look wholly unique or a lot like other familiar fighters.

Here are 8 minutes of new Akuma gameplay footage in Street Fighter 6

The Akuma content for Street Fighter 6 continues to roll in as GameSpot hits us with just over 8 uninterrupted minutes of new footage.

The next DLC character (who drops on May 22) faces off against Dee Jay, himself and Manon in the video. It may be a level 7 computer controlling Akuma, but we still get to see plenty of interesting facets of his gameplay that further our early understanding of how he'll play here in SF6.

Ed falls from top ranks, but how far? Street Fighter 6 April popularity stats

Relative to the two DLC characters before him, Ed made quite the splash when he dropped into Street Fighter 6 back at the end of February. When we finally got the popularity statistics for his first full month of March, the newcomer had shot to the top of the charts at almost every level of play.

The numbers for April are in, however, and with Ed seeming to be one of the weaker characters on the SF6 roster, it's not too surprising to find that he's no longer appreciating new kid levels of popularity.

Brand new one-hit kill fighting game Die by the Blade releases next week

A new weapon-based fighting game is coming to PC as Grindstone, Triple Hill Interactive and Toko Midori Games are preparing to launch Die by the Blade on May 16 (headed to consoles later this year).

The one on one experience allows you to select a character as well as a weapon to go into battle wherein superior positioning and parrying are the only things standing between you and a very swift death, because in Die by the Blade, a single strike is all it takes to win or lose.

HelloMissLadyy shows off her fighting stance and curves during Cammy White cosplay

We recently took notice of HelloMissLadyy's Cammy cosplay. On her Instagram page, she takes on a number of different poses and fighting stances that really show off the curves of the costume.

Of course, it can be easy to see why Cammy is often chosen to depict by cosplayers. Since her debut in Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers back when it was released back in 1993 in the arcades and 1994 on the home consoles, she's become one of the most iconic characters of the Street Fighter series.

Akuma hasn't even been released yet and he's already been demonstrated to have demonic damage output in Street Fighter 6

Not too long ago, it was revealed that Akuma has 9,000 points of vitality in Street Fighter 6, the lowest in the game. Though not everyone is a fan of this type of design, it would seem that Akuma is once again being designed to act as a glass cannon.

The meta for Street Fighter 6 is about to shift dramatically due to the upcoming patch slated for May 22. Akuma is finally joining the roster alongside the major Season 2 balance update.

In preparation for this date, Javits Arias has decided to release his final tier list for Street Fighter 6 Season 1. All 21 fighters currently playable in Street Fighter 6 have been given one of the following labels: S tier, A tier, B tier, C tier, or D tier.

Fan recreates Mortal Kombat 1's character select screen in the Deadly Alliance style which impresses even Ed Boon

There are plenty of Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance references contained within Mortal Kombat 1. However, it seems that one fan, The POor guy, has taken things a step further, which has caught the attention of Mortal Kombat cocreator Ed Boon.

The POor guy has recreated Mortal Kombat 1's character select screen in the style of Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. Of course, it should be noted that only the characters from Deadly Alliance are featured on the recreation, so Liu Kang's absence is easily noticed.

Details about Street Fighter 6's upcoming DLC character, Akuma, continue to see the light of day as more content creators share their recent findings. This time, the raging demon's move list has been revealed and gives us a look at what all, old and new, he can do in the latest iteration of the game.

Here's our first look at wake up Drive Reversal in Street Fighter 6 Season 2 and its new benefits

Last night a ton of new information about Street Fighter 6's upcoming DLC character, Akuma, as well as the new Season 2 balance changes flooded the internet. From Capcom releasing their own Akuma character guide to content creators sharing videos and experiences after trying him themselves, there's a lot to dig into right now when it comes to the upcoming update.

On top of all of the new Akuma footage, a handful of select Season 2 balance changes were showcased — including the new wake up Drive Reversal option. We have now gotten our first look at the new variation of the staple mechanic, and this encompasses how it actually works, as well as some of the new benefits the mechanic has as a whole.
